a decent but low cost mic pre?

well... i have a 24 ch. anaalog mixer, but it is overkill, because i have the zlink ( only 8 ins/outs) so i´m thinking of selling this console ( spirit soundcraft 8 24) and buying some mic pre´s instead.
I'm thinking about the presonus bluetube or the art Gold mic ( maybe even buying them used if I can find them..)
price range is about 250 per channel ( yes i know it's not alot, but i'm very broke!)


any suggestions, comments, smart remarks? :)

I'll second the FMR RNP - goes well with the equally good RNC.

The other alternative might be the DAV BG1 - see KMR Audio's site for details.
