Since mail transfer is an important part of the Scope licensing and support system, I took Piddi's complaint to clear a few things, hopefully.

no company runs a spam filter on their own today - it would simply be impossible
you usually subscribe to such services, either implied (via your Internet Service Provider) or by a dedicated contract.
Those lists are updated several times a day.

such filters may block your mail by a number of reasons, often based on the ip route the mail takes, but there also is the case that an individual mail adress gets blocked for no apparent reason.
Obviously it's enough to have been mentioned in context of someone who has been identified as (or is assumed to be...) a true spammer.
It's assumed that at least 50% of all systems with internet connection are under the control of one or the other bot (not all are mail related of course), and those figures are anything but phantasy.

I can assure you that there are accounts on the corporate mail server I support, that are blocked and released in almost arbitrary intervals.
Some blocked completely as if the account wouldn't exist - send and receive works without error messages, but of course with no result.
Other accounts only fail with certain business partners, but those partners can reach another account on the very same mailserver...

this s*cks of course, but there is really nothing you can do about it....
but if anyone knows a method, it would be most appreciated.

ps: I dunno how SonicCore handles their mail in detail, but it's probably not that different from our method - and once again: the blocking is NOT on the local mailserver
