plug-in removal

To remove plug-ins, do I just delete .dev files in SFP\Devices\Plug-Ins foler or is there anything else that I need to remove in any other locations?
restart scope if it was running before
maybe also delete the presets .. only to keep it consistent
but not neccessary i do it in the same way but instead of deleting it , i move it to a folder like OldPlugins ..because some times i open older projects and sometimes the plugins are needed
