24 Bit recording in XTC mode

I have a Pusar I card (4 DSP's) & I'm wanting to record in Cubase @ 24bit whilst in XTC mode.
The Scope inputs in Cubase show up as 16 bit so I'm not sure if there is any value recording at 24 bit.
Can anyone confirm this is the case & maybe off some advice plse?
