Room Verb 01 - Room/Ambiance emulation

Now that hifiboom received access to the SDK today :D , he instantly tried his first steps....

As I am a reverb addicted till years, I started playing around with the tools to create reverbs...

So here is my first outcome,

Its a room reverb plug-in.
Its tuned for a very dense "live room" impression especially for drums and vocals but nwill nearly work on anything with satisfiying results. also fine to glue together complete mixes.
You can easily apply it on kick drums and other drum stuff and get wicked sound.
It should be pretty low on dsp usage too, at least it is over here.

Its still buggy, as I have to learn the tools,
following bugs are known so far:

-cannot close surface
-surface is hiding when Pre filter slider is moved into lowest values....
-not possibly to use it as insert fx yet.
-gui is crappy

as this is my first device, all comments are really welcomed....

other stuff is planned.

thanks sharc,

I`ve already recognized, the sdk is very strong !!!

With those fine atoms its really hard to build something bad sounding.

got some more sound checks:

Nice work. It does sound good, but I was only interested in your skillfull work.

I don't use DSP reverb, as I had a choice, to use it and have all delays external ( hardware ), or use my 91, and leave the PCI buss for SpaceF, and Celmo. I guess alot of American LSD made it to France somehow, as the best delays I have used were DSP based. and were from France. Their work makes me have flashbacks, as their stuff is so awesome, and so trippy.

I used it on Scarbee's Fender Rhodes w/ FB5 LFO's hard panning it, and it was beautiful, but the Lexicon using the Pro card's AES / EBU is to die for. However, the Lexicon sound is really not known for it's accurate emulations of everything, w/ the exception of the Ambience Algo's, but rather it's just beautiful sound. Your first reverb is an accurate, good sounding room, but sometimes accuracy takes a backseat to final result of sound.

You are definately going to be creating some hunters, no doubt. And SHARC is a good man, for adding his expertise.

Here's To Both Of You, .......Damn,..that Jaeger sure taste good !!!

An appealing entry Hifiboom, reverbs are known as most difficult to build.
Congrats, just heared the demo, which is nice :-)
Thanks, I'll try it, as an economical gate verb i can see it easily find it's place along the MV Pro in the mixer :-)

already build a new version with a longer tail, which has a plate style sound with about 2 seconds decay....

but at first I have to learn how to integrate control elements into insert_fx surfaces....

I`m looking forward that later versions with more control over sound will follow...

Hey,
I have an idea 4 you hifi.

The only reverb I ever heard w/ a great gated plate w/o colorization was the Alesis Q20, which was programmed by Synthetic88, a new member here.

This is a highly desired effect in composers circle for pop horn sections, and floor toms believe ot or not. Maybe you should try that out if you have time.

My PCM91 can do it, but the Alesis just seemed to get it right.

I think it was the diffusion of the gate itself. Making the horns, especially when they do section falls, and shakes, so fuckin' sweet.

Carry On,

new version upped ! now the room works as insert too and has an acceptable gui... :)

now I have to learn that preset saving stuff...

and then I`m going to be ready for bigger projects... :D

There is one big synth ready for implementation....
