Hi,
I rephrase.
I wonder if someone buys another audio card (maybe pci or firewire) that has inputs and outputs in either format analog and/or adat can this card run alongside scope system and beeing seen by pulsar as a "soundcard" with wdm driver ?
I know you cannot have two audio cards with asio but asio will continue to run for scope and wdm for the other card.
If so (I don't see why not !) what arrises as questions are.
Can these wdm ins and outs be more than 16 bits ??
Also can someone suggest a card like this which can add either 8 analog ins and outs or in adat format (both would be great !!
Don't tell me to use another pulsar because I already have fulled the pc with pulsars !
I just need all the inputs already present on pulsar cards PLUS anymore I can use ON SAME PC !!!
This is a nice topic I guess...

It works fine...

Ok,
You use this second card from inside Scope environement ?
There is a "soundcard" device under scope so this may load this other audio inside scope right ?
Is this restricted to 16bit ?

no not inside scope..

they work in parallel. Cubase works with the Scope ASIO
every other: WaveEditor, MediaPlayer and Games take the onboard WDM Sound.

I hate to replug my headphones, but thats the way it is.

q1: how many pulsars and inputs do you have ? and how many do you need?

q2: do you record a full orchestra in realtime?

Have you tried loading your other card from inside SCope ?
Try it...
Under Software IOs there is Soundcard source and Soundcard dest.
Load these devices and open them, inside there you other card may appear so you can use it from inside Scope.

I have a Paris system with 64 audio tracks with three mecs where each mec can have up to 22 ins and outs.
I need to have the 16 of each mec (3x16=48) connected with Pulsar scope.
Then also outboard 3 adat devices .
So that makes 9 adat ports ins and 9 outs.
My three cards have 7 so far.
So I need another 2 adats.
I would love though more ! for analog in and outs.
Maybe this scope home with home expansion AND A16U would be a great addition !

The Soundcard Source/Dest module uses MME to communicate with the other card, which introduces tons of latency. It's not really usable.
