Can My Luna II play with the big boys?

Hey all,
I didnt see this info in the search function so I guess I will ask.
I have a Luna II card and would like to get another CreamWare Card with more DSP's.
Question is if I buy a bigger card will I be able to use the Luna with it?
If so how.......
I would hate to just have to stop using the Luna the more power I get the better........
Thanks for any help.

yes, you can cascade the cards over the stdm bus with a stdm cable...

Excellent! Does the cable come with the bigger cards like the 6 DSP Scope Project?

you could buy a flatcable plus a few 20-pin side connecters and jam them together (no soldering involved, the connectors cut the mantle automaticly).

Cool! I may be calling you in the future soon, Since for some odd reason I find my third PCI slot is sharring the same IRQ with my PCIe Video card I may just move my luna to my other PC and Drop a Scope Professional or a Project into my main machine.
Thanks

If you use 1,2 or 3 cards/pci slots does not matter.
As long as they are connected with a STDM cabel, it will use only 1 irq

no, each slot has an irq assigned. sometimes it's possible to assign the same irq to each card via standard pc instead of using acpi, but it's not nesessary. it's usually possible to free up enough irqs for 3 cards if unneeded ports and onboard devices are disabled....

Looks like we both get this right

BTW,
I noticed when using multiple cards that using all of the connections seems to help out when using loads of DSP power, i.e. cable up all of the STDM connectors. I use 3 cards on all of my boxes, and this helps with high polyphony synths.

Hmm this IRQ stuff gets more confusing every time I look at it.
Is it possibel (Excuse my lack of PC skill) to re assign a PCI to another IRQ?
I'm not sure how far I'm going to take expanding my sys yet....
I'm getting two UAD PCIe cards soon as well, may be more than enough for me.

buy the scope cards first(not nessessarily from me

) they'll do more for you and they are real-time, much more useful. a uad card is a nice accessory..
irqs are nothing to worry about!

if the card is sharing with something else, it's not that hard to do something about it.

Thanks for the info guys.
Gary, I already bought the UAD's and sice they are going in the PCIe Slots I will still have an available PCI slot.
So since you guys say I can change the IRQ's or fix the issue how can that be done as I have never done it (I'm still coming up to speed when it come to PC's).
I was having issues before with my luna sharing an IRQ with my PCIe video card but moving the card fixed that.
But still have a PCI slot thats useless because of its assignment........
ANy info is much apreciated.
Thanks

p.s. I would rather buy a Creamware card from you Gary than some big box retail show like Musiciand Friend....
