SFP & jitter question?

If I do a total virtual instruments midi sequencing & mix them inside SFP mixer with 32bit/96KHz, & dither to 16bit/44.1KHz using Samplitude POW-r.......so basically everything was done inside the DAW.
Is it still possible to have a jitter problem?

Thanks.

a jitter problem is not possible at all, as the digital processing of your digital signals within the DAW is independant from a clock signal.
this changes when you playback the mixer's output - then the DA converter will add jitter (a drifting clock), which is completely normal.
The amount of jitter varies with circuit design - there are several ways to do it.

Do you suspect a problem because your record lacks transparency or shows other artifacts or is it a 'what if...' question ?

cheers, Tom
