Dynadrive Disortion FX ( Flexor I )

here is a very simple distortion device.
+ needs not much dsp
+ great results on 303 sounds
+ great on drums ( especially to roughen up kicks etc.)
+ everything other that needs distortion
Its a valve drive where the amount of distortion/valve is controlled by an envelope follower.
For example you want hard kicks from a dry 909 bd sample without getting that annoying noise at the decay/fade out... set the release to relativly low times....
amount on valve drive to 0 and mod amount to higher positive values...
And you get pretty nice techno/trance kicks that have punch but never sound annoying.
Set the attack to relativly small values, for example 0,003 or higher for smoother attacks and to 0,000 for cutting hard attacks..
For fx style fx run a dry kick through it, set amount on valve drive to highest level and mod knob to negative level.
So the transient of the kick stays dry and the fadeout gets distortion. ( nice too )
It also works fine as distortion fx for dry 303 sounds as the example shows....
For even harder distortion replace valve drive with the Flexor guitar drive.
I`m sure it also works nice on other things whenever you need a good sounding distortion with low DSP need.
have fun. F2 is coming
