Effect Devices = Thoughts Comments Welcome

I noticed that some second hand pulsars come with a " Free Effects'" cd.

I am creating some complex routing configurations and would really like to have a wider range of effects to mangle my sounds with with.

IS there anyone out there who could share some of these free devices. We could use ICQ. Can anyone recommend a place to get them. Several of the links in the planet z are old and files deleted or "hacking attempt" errors are presented.

I am looking for sequenced gates. ring modulators, bit reduction, sequenced filters, odd ball chorus , phasors, panning effect (even sequenced panning effects).

I am also looking for a simple mixer device which allows for 6 mono or 3 sterero inputs, 2 inserts on each channel and two send effects. Is there something commercially available that fits the descriptions?

All thoughts welcome

you're looking for Flexor
or SilverDisk (SpaceF)
or th RD modules (Zarg)
or (even better) all of them! :D
with low numbers of channels you could just use a couple of the 'channel' devices from the mixer menu, some Micromixers for bussing etc.

Does Flexor operate exclusively within the modular environment or will the modules work as separate devices available within the general routing environment?

exclusive.

if you have the basic effects, there are some of those types, although not as deeply as with modular/flexor.

the free effects are mostly on this website.

Well, using the insert slot made by djmicron it's possible to use any modular patch as inserts, thus as standard routing.

but you still have to set it up inside the modular environment, which strictly speaking cannot be avoided.
On the other hand it doesn't really increase the learning curve much - I found modular fx setups much easier than synth device patches. In particular Flexor has some true gems to offer far beyond the 'standard' multi fx stuff.

All I can say is SpaceF's Black Box II.
