Activating a NOS Power Pulsar.

I have a New Old Stock Power Pulsar, now called Scope Professional. If I activate it under my existing account will I receive both of the expansion packs? This card was sitting on a dealer shelf for 3 years, unsold, I know that CW gave the latest version of the software, with both packs, when they changed the way they labeled that cards, but does that still apply to NOS product with existing activations?

I hope this makes sense.

I know that somebody is going to say contact CW, but they never seem to reply to my emails (over 2 years on another matter).

i would think that it's entitled to what a current new card would get if you just bought the power pulsar new. why doesn't your dealer help?

as to creamware responding to emails, i find that they respond to registration emails very quickly. sometimes the spam filter is a little overactive, but i find no unwillingness to respond. dunno about your relationship... :D

The reason the dealer doesn't help is that they got very little support from CW and have since stopped selling the product.

where are you located?
support is great in the usa and canada. write to Ralf at rb[at]creamware.de or general support at support[at]creamware.de and put "registration" in the subject. explain that you just bought a brand new card from the dealer and ask for the professional package v4.5. if cwa says 'no', then i'm sure you got an excellent price for the older board, so it shouldn't be a complete loss. pm me in that case if you like, and i'll try to make the upgrade as painless as possible if it's nessessary. it's pretty busy there with the current specials, if you get no response within a day or two, then write again. it's best to avoid writing from freemail addresses if possible, the spamfilter is aggressive because of unbelievable amounts of spam.

my first card was a NOS pulsar XTC 2 years ago. they call it now dsp booster, and that contains a M&M or S&S pack. mine did not, and so I had to make it a 4.5 with the help of a special offer (99 EUR, and this is the price they want this very moment, too. it's usually 198,- ).

I was, nevertheless, granted a plugin for half the price when I (for no cost) upgraded to 4.0, since my card was at 3.x the time I bought it.

I'm afraid your board will be considered legacy, too, but ask ralf before buying 4.5. maybe there are some options left...
