SRB's are HW without IN/OUT's - used to extend the number of DSP's on a system.
Pulsar XTC is similar, but comes with software, (SRB is without software).

Sonic Rocket Booster cards are 4, 6 or 14/15 dsp's.
A 4 DSP SRB is same card as Pulsar1, but without software and IN/OUT's
A 6 DSP SRB is same card as Pulsar2 / Project , -----------"---------------

If you run low on DSP's, but have enough IN/OUT's - then you are in for a SRB!

But there is no much price diference betwenn the booster cards and the ones with in/out. I don´t think it´s worth the diference.

Depends on your needs
If you buy your 1. card, a SRB would be silly - you can't use it
If you are to extend your system, you might want 1 or more of these:
  • Extend DSP's
    Extend Connections
    Extend Plug-ins
If only for DSP's - buy a SRB, otherwise buy a Project or Prof. card

There are only 100 eur diference between the in/out version and the booster, I don´t think it´s worth the bosster.
I´m having a 3 dsp. I would prefer selling the 3 dsp and buy a 14 scope professional, than a 14 dsp bosster.
