anyone compare or try uad's plate140 or dreamverb, ...or 1073 eq for that matter, vs warp's lexiconny sounding verbs, i don't like the metallicy sounding ones, like the 4080L of stw, i have a tc verb, just need another

I`m not sure, but in my opinion a plate is the definition of "metallic sound", becuase based on a metallic steel plate....
