i'm using dynatube feedde by my guitar passed through a presonus tube pre.
i found with a spectrum analyzer (voxengo SPAN) that there are a LOT of bass frequences in my signal (expcially with distorted guitars).
i tried to insert before dynatube the flexor highpass 8 pole (using McCyrano insert modules).
i think that the sound is much better in this way... have you any similar experience??

well, i'd do the same thing with a mic'd guitar cab(use a low cut filter). low freqs build up mud pretty fast...

Putting highpass/low cut on guitars is pretty standard for clearing up a mix.

I always boost the plugs with an MXR-10 band around 500-800Hz going into my pre-amp.
Tightens them up and gives more cut.

i agree to your answers, but the point was to use highpass on the dry guitar signal, before it comes to dynatube!
i feel that a signal with a lot of basses is not so good for dynatube, expecially with heavy distortion...

i would say let your ears decide. it's really simple to compare, as dynatube has pre and post inserts. just load an eq and listen...
