Hello folks

Can the controls of the B2003 (e.g. rotor speed etc.) be automated via midi commands?

Many Thanks

Jonathan

yes,
there is just a little problem with the slow/fast switch that can be fixed if you have scope sdk.

I map the rotor change to the sustain pedal on my keyboard - hold for fast, off for slow

no problem there.

Great Thanks

Where do I find info on the midi implementation? It's not in the B2003 manual as far as I can see.

Use MIDI learn maybe...

Actually the MIDI problem was in retaining the controller when saved, but a certain expert took care of that, Thank You Very Much.
The drawbars in the upper manual have a little jump in volume on the 8', but I am using the rotor effect and drawbars in a rather unconventional way. This is a great model of a great instrument. Hats off to CW.

As with any SFP device, it's simply a matter of 'telling' the device which control should be mapped to which continuous controller. You just right-click on the control, send a cc signal by (eg) moving a knob on your controller, and that's it. You can then save your cc set up as a midi controller preset, so that you can recall them for later use, and have different setups for different uses. Hope that's clear-ish. You'll find more in the main CW operations manual, rather than in the manual for any one device.

it is not stored when you reload the midi cc preset.

Well it's all working nicely for me now after a bit of experimentation, so I'm grateful for the very helpful replies.

One final question - do the controller assignments I have set save with a new preset for the device or should I be storing them somewhere else?

Thanks

They're not saved with normal presets. You have to save them as a 'Midi Controller Preset'. Open the Preset manager in the normal way. You'll notice that for every device there is a bank called (I think) 'Midi controller'. Open that bank and save a preset in there - that will save all the cc assignments that you've currently made for that device.

When you want to recall those assignments, just load that preset.

CC assignments are also saved as part of the project, so if you've got some specific to that project, no need to save a preset, just save the project.

Hope that makes sense.

Ok understood thanks
I'd already noticed they saved as part of a project but I thought there must be something specific to the instrument as well
