E=Mixsat C2 (Updated)

MixSat C2 is updated and benefits from some features implemented in another spacef mixer.
- 2 midi channels allowing 2*119 Midi CCs
- "pre" is added to the rec. channel: all inputs can be sent to rec.out.
- added second insert slot in the aux inserts (mainly to allow PEQ4 on any reverb, but also allows to chain several effects or effect racks)
- Corrections: track 9S insert was uncorrectly saved in presets, now fixed.

Please not that the midi integration goes further, as the new implementation is solid with insert fx parameters too (in a better way than it is without intervention).

Mono to Stereo channels: the "sat channels" are the same, but without the equalizer. You can use an equalizer either in the filter slots or in the mono or stereo insert slots (see FX tab). Also contains slight graphical changes, a complete renaming of the rec channels (especially for dual, post and pre).
Dsp fixed for all sync signal (takes less than a dsp. what remains is other functions such as modulation switches and so on).
I have a very clean mix done for a series trailer, but i will be able to publish it only when the images are done, which can take a little while as it is a 3d anime.

MixSat C2 Update is available for the following packs only
- BlackBox II
- BlackBox Fx
- MixSat

Use the refresh button of your browser if you do not see the update link.
Repack of BB2/Fx etc will not be done before the release of some other mixers&devices later this year.

What a great way to present an overview of the device. Low bandwidth, but very informative. Looks really, really well designed and thought out. Amazing.

Nice, very nice. This could be what i've been looking for in a mixer

Is this available seperately, or do I need to order BlackBox II or BlackBox II FX (I already have Echo 35).

Edit: just spotted the upgrade options from Echo 35...50 euro to BlackBox II FX...very nice! (hmmm maybe i'll go for the fill BlackBox II deal)

Cheers, Wayne.

wow, i didn't expect so many reactions. thank you.
So yes, i can think of a version of the mixer as a standalone product instead of including it only in BB II/Fx packs (might be cheaper depending on your pack(s)).
The wait shouldn't be long now.

I think the BlackBox II FX upgrade looks like the option for me. I think it would be worth breaking it out though, with options to upgrade to full packs (once you get users hooked in, as I did with Echo).

cheers.

please also note: if you want to use the project with the demo, the dev has to be renamed (see in the read-me). if you do not have the switches, load the free ones that can be found on my site, "mixers&routing" section

I hope you like it...

Many apologies, but there is new download (repack 3 ): presets are part of this new pack: so Backup your existing MixSat presets or they'll be overwritten.

- MixSat-C2: you could not connect audio signals to ModA and B. Now corrected and rock solid (meaning you can use any source from external modulators such as Modular II and III). The Demo is not updated (making this bug an extra limitation).
- MixSatB: corrects some preset strangeness: solo 9 and 10 would not be restored. Sat.channel 2 setting neither. Now corrected. Also, now displays a sexy "B" on the device panel.
- Mix8S: this is a new addition. Primarily made to allow to make extra aux channels: you connect the direct outs of MixSat to Mix8S and use this new "group" to send to extra aux fx. Mix8S contains the aux and master fx sections of MixSat-C2. Presets between both devices are compatible.

This repack3 IS final concerning any correction of MixSat B and C.

hi mehdi,

sounds very good,
i browsed the web site, very interesting way of controlling it with BCR ! i like this approach of orienting the dev of devices !

we (DAS) are also working on a new mixer, not for the same use (more live apps oriented - 6 stereo in ears mixes an 4 mono aux mixes, with DCA and so on) i am orienting the development in order to control it totally with a BCF, if you're ok, when ii wil be ready for further test , i will need your opinion,
cheers,

olive

Personally, I think Mehdi should stay as far away as possible from those DAS guys...

aarg, a leak on my own thread..
It is sad what is happening on other threads.
The world needs peace, don't spread the viruses !

a part from that, I met Olive (online) a few years ago (3 ? 4?) as we developped similar stuff at the same time but seperately (dynamic equalizers, mixers etc). He was working on a mixer at that time, and i am curious to see how he will do his new version.

But now, please people, consider that i have a passion (the word is weak) in device making, and that I would like to stay out of what is related to what's happening elsewhere, that i do not approve and which is not related in anyway to SpaceF.

Thanks in advance.

... and buy my stuff !! (lol, just kidding  )
