My system is amd dualcore 3800+ with

gigabyte k8ns-ultra 939 with two pulsar card

(each 6 dsp)

my system freezed too many time.

but when i used only on pulsar card, it

worked pretty well.. but when each pulsar

card was linked via s-tdm cable it was

crashed randomly... i have read a post by

shayne who use identical system and have

same problem.

he said 3.1b resolve everything(except sts)

that's right? if so,can anyone give me scope 3.1b driver?

is there anyone have experienced same or

different? how did you solve it?

Sorry - can't find it myself, but send him an email, because this is what was writen:

[quote]AMD dualcore driver for Scope

The problem you have is not the motherboard, it's the Scope drivers with dualcore.
The 3.1c/4.0/4.5 crash continually, but the 3.1b drivers do not.
Ali at CreamWare Canada has authorized me to distribute the 3.1b drivers to anybody
with problems, but I haven't yet uploaded them...wait a little while and I will!

Shayne

OK, it's uploaded. URL is: http://www.shaynesworld.com/3.1b_driver ... TR></TABLE><!-- BBCode Quote End -->

this is the 3.1b drivers from the 3.1b CD
for those who need it.
Please note this is not the most current drivers creamware offers.

What is this? Is it the most up to date driver and if so is it an official release? What does it fix?

this is not latest driver version

and older version than now

but on the dualcoresystem (amd3800+ with k8ns) , there is a problem ,which makes computer freezed between multiple scope cards.

according to shayne's 3.1c(latest driver) has

this problem but the older version 3.1b has

no problem so i wanted 3.1b

i dunno if i am right or not, exactly..

any other experience?

Interesting - anyone know if this is also a problem with hyperthreading and dual cards because I get freezes too on occasion?

Hi Ali why is it so difficult to have contact with Andre ?
I think his advice for the Asus p5wd2-e premium is more of COMPROMISED to Creamware products, sts crushies all the time.
He's also not available just to inform his customers about complains base on his recommendation.what exactly is the reason & he's advice on his configurations both hardware & the BIOS may be might help.

Did you disable HT? I made good experiences with disabling HT.

Hi Herr Voigt,
thanx,I understand the pentium D930 have no HT you talking about,
My point here is Andre from CreamWare recommend this mobo.besides he only have to advice what settings & bios configs best fit,
we have problems that mobo,& nothing else !

that mobo works perfectly in my experience. there are no tricky irq settings. i just install acpi and then disable the controllers that are sharing irqs with scope. in bios, i disable all the peripherals that are not absolutely bessessary(parrallel, serial, audio, etc)

Have you test the STS series ?
I have done all the necessary tweaks, sometimes i used to disable my CDs drivers when they are not in need which gives more quick reaction,
But only the STS freezzzz my sometime 2min.& sometime 5min.
My question here is why is this mobo recommended ?
With the absence of STSs seems to me a big time compromised.
