Is there a midi device for Scope that can do this so I can change presets using midi?

If you have a hardware midi controller such as a Kenton, Peavey or BCR/BCF, you can program change anything directly from that, either via cubase or directly within or thru SFP. Also, if you have a modern hardware synth of *any* sort (keyboard or rack), most of them can transmit program change messages (often available via an on/off toggle in a 'global' menu) which you can route anywhere you desire. Also, in Cubase & other sequencers' automation sections, there are options for editing & or controlling program changes. In cubases' logical edit for example, it's possible to set up groovy velo to program change transforms or whatever takes your fancy.

I don't have Cubase and I was really thinking about something from within the Scope environment itself like a midi device. I was looking at Wolf's midi tools but the demo isn't available any more (neither is the shop) and I couldn't tell if it had a module for this job.

you can use any Scope device with midi capabilities for this job
just route the device's midi out to the external port on which the synth is connected and set both to the same channel.
any selection in the Scope device's preset list will send the respective program change command to the external port.

That's an interesting idea - you could even set up your own patch lists that way - I'll give it a try, thanks.

Now if I could only find a way to convert Cubase style patchname lists to Creamware.....

You use the steinberg Scriptmaker for that.Actually I might try that,Minimax Maybe any suggestions ?
