I am wondering what to do with all of these expensive mic pres., my friend has a collection gathering dust.
I'm hoping to record Pedal Steel players doing tons of licks on E and C6 types. I also want to add Soprano/Tenor/Alto saxophone licks, and any instrument that I feel I cannot mimic with GS3 Orchestra.
Once I record these into VDAT, can I alter their pitch by using STS5000 and it's stretch algo's? If I am sucsessful in this endeavor, I could send the samples into STS to alter their pitch, and store them on single MIDI note triggers that will be synced to tempo and BPM. These could be triggered by GS3 at any key or tempo right?
