Hi,

Are there any MIDI implementation charts for the SFP synths?

I've looked through my online manual and I can't find any.

There aren't, AFAIK, but every midi controllable parameter can be simply assigned right-clicking it and then you can save the midi assignment preset.

what I have done (I use a M-Audio Keystation 88 Pro) is use the preset librarian that comes with M-Audio products (Enigma) and create two presets.

The 1st is basically cc's 3-53,
the 2nd is 54-118, skipping 64 as it's used for sustain (I'm going off the top of my head, as I don't have the program open in front of me.)

Then I've gone through each synth, effect, and mixer I use and mapped the knobs, sliders, and buttons to use any one of those cc's.

So when I'm just using Scope by itself, i can change recall either of the two presets as control banks and access the entirety (or at least 90%) of each device and use the controller to switch midi channels so I can control the various devices.

In Sonar, you can go a little further and just select the track you want to affect and that will determine the active channel.

You can play some fun and silly games with this. For me, I have created 4 midi sources.

One for synths
One for effects (I keep my effects racked in SpaceF's MultiFX-midi devices)
One for mixers.
One for anything else which might have overflow.

I also set up a few default tracks in Sonar which control my mixers (I use 2 16 channel mixers, one micromixer, the control room, and the external Aux, so I can buss aux channels to both of the 16 channel-ers) and give each track and mixing component their own channel.

It's a bit complex to set up, but once it's in place, you can really control your whole environment from a few faders and knobs and still do all your mixing in Sonar (not using their mixer of course) and midi envelope tools.

I may not have explained that as well as I could, and it's still a work in progress, but once it's done, I'll post my presets, some screen-captures, and more detailed explanations. Feel free to toss some questions out if you have them. It might help me think through some of the conundrums I haven't cracked yet.

For me, it was simpler to take the General MIDI Control Change chart and to assign known parameters to known numbers. For example, I assigned CC 74 for filter cutoff on all synths.
