on the scope platform page it says...

"SCOPE professional– PCI Audio Interface with 14 DSPs and ***20 I/Os***.With SCOPE professional, you can choose between three I/O options:"

Yet, when I scroll down to the ZLink model, which is what I think I'll be purchasing, it says under the inputs section...

“Z-Link” I/O Version
stereo analog (unbalanced RCA)
S/P-DIF (3,5mm TRS with cable to RCA)
1 x ADAT Optical
2 x Z-Link (to A16 Ultra AD/DA)

For which I count 44 inputs..., being 2x zlinks would be 2x16=32? and 1 adat is 8, plus stereo analog and spdif is 4 more for a total of 44 inputs... right?

The same is true for the output config, counting 88 i/o... whats up here?

click on hardware specs to see. Thanks

It's 28 I/Os because the Z-link are 8ch each. 20 I/Os is what you get with the classic I/O plate. It's not very well explained, but also not too difficult to work out.

Excellent, I thought that was the case. My original number for the zlink was 28 then I read that eat zlink pipe was 16 channels and got confused.

Anyways, thanks!

Break into your vault and buy one, if you don't like it, I'll buy it from you. Just make sure it's a Scope Professional, as I have a rather large collection of the smaller 6 DSP cards and boosters.

Great to hear my brotha'. I am doing the same with box #2. I'm sure that both of us will be very happy, and sound like FAT BASTARDS in the synth department.

Oh, damn forgot to ask one question. The zlink cables, they're just regular firewire cables right? I haven't seen them sold anywhere so I assume thats just the case. What shots i've seen of the input jack looks like a firewire port to my eyes.

Is this correct?
