A Fellow Pulsarian is developing an Oberheim clone that sounds very promising. I haven't the need for the multitimbrality, 4 I still use two SE1-x's for mono. But since I am running 15 channels of MIDI right now, I should be able to use the MIDI splitter 4 this, afterall, I use 2 x 88's for controllers which is extreme 4 a synth project emulating analog. The splitter, then two instances of Modular, followed by a micro mixer by j9k. Does this sound like the way to go multitimbrally?

you can set each instance of Modular to it's own receiving channel.
Not sure if you might flood the system with controller data (by using 2 simulaneously and probably full throttle now and then...), so it might be worth checking if different physical ports do a more effective channeling - which would reduce flexibility to a degree.

unfortunately I don't have enough time to really take advantage of the Modular and Flexor.

One point I like in particular is that one can build arrays or groups of filters and control other parameters in relation to the filter(s).
Like the infamous example where more resonance decreases loudness - no problem, add a vca and make it's intensity depending from the resonance controller, etc.

Flexor is an endless playground... I (have to) avoid it frequently to get other things done... it's too addictive and sounding too good

That little VCA trick worked. I just love it when I comprehend things told to me. I have to read ReD_MuZe, and atOm's replies several times to comprehend, but they are very thorough with respect to Modular synthesis.
