Hello,
I 'm very desapointed because I can't control the volume with the mixing console from cubase for a creamware synth. How do you make that ? If I use the fader of the track : the synths volume don't change, must I program it with the CC ?
Thanx for help,
Baba

Hoi,

Assuming you've made a MIDI track for the synth, you can control the volume of the device from the SX controller (BC*2000 etc.).

All CC# have to be assigned manually by right-clicking then dragging to the desired CC# number, or accepting the recognised incoming CC#. A CC# can also by saved in a MIDI preset for the device, or with the project. If you choose CC#7, the Scope device will follow the automation as in your sequencer.

Hey, I didn't find any Tip nor Trick in your post - this definately belongs in Problems forum...

Regards,

at0m.

You don't mention if you're using the midi mixer in Cubase or the audio mixer channel to your Creamware Synth.
If it is the audio mixer, then changing the volume levels on this will reduce or increase the track as normal, but that is on the audio side.
If it is the midi volume of the synth that you want to change whilst leaving the mixer faders at the same position, there is an easier way than using the Cubase midi mixer:

As for the earlier replies, you need to right click on the synth's volume controller and assign midi CC 7 to it.
In you Cubase midi track you can then draw in your volume changes on the midi track.
My tip would be to start your track 3 bars in and create a small 1 bar part in bars 1-2.
In this you could set your initial starting volume for your synth.

Hope that helps

I try to automatize a fader of the STM1632 and it's don't work ...
My project is like that :
Image
I can't assign a MIDI controller to the fader, I saw the manual and I know the procedure but it's don't work ... another bug to SFP4.5 ?
pffffffffff
ps : Cubase SL3/SFP4.5 lunaII

Sure I think it's me it was a joke for the SFP4.5 bug ...
But I don't know what I take wrong.
)
In order I make :
- right clic on the STM fader
- clic to assign CC#7
- clic '+' but nothing ...
- play the track in cubase SL3 with volume automation
==> the fader don't move

Controlling a mixer is a different story: The Scope mixer uses different CC# on a single channel, the Cubase mixer uses different channels on a single CC#, CC#7. You'll need to insert a modifier, like MIDI-OX or something, to convert accordingly.
