Hi all
Is it possible to put the Z-Link daughterboard from my pulsar II to a scope SRB (15dsp)?
Or where could I buy a daughterboard for the SRB?
thanx
Roman

yes, if the connector matches - dunno about very old SRBs which (might) have a different IO interface.
cheers, tom

in most cases the Zlink plate should work on all boards made after 2002.
However I had it working on an earlier board from 2001.
your 15 DSP should be second generation.

ali,
first thanks for the reply. this means if it's a generation 1, there's no way to get a z-link daughterboard running?
and how can I find out if it's a generation 1 or 2?
greez

On a second generation board, you'll see 2 sets of pins, connectors looking like IDE pins on HD's, standing up. They receive the daughterboard. If there's no such pins, there's no way the daughterboard will fit.
Anecdote: When I bought my Pulsar2 + Luna2496 as a combo, the keymusic people gave me a Pulsar2 with ADAT daughterboard. Next day I returned to the shop, and since I had already registered the board's S/N on my name, I just wanted to swap daughterboards with another of their cards. They didn't believe it was even possible (real pro's;), and you should have seen their faces when I took the guy's card and started swapping the IO boards, they were totally in shock

I bought a 6 dsp Scope SRB/Pulsar 2 Xtc and a pulsar 2 classic, then I didn't understand why the pulsar classic was registered as the srb until I figured out that the previous owner had swapped the classic plate over.
So I switched it back. You've got to go at it carefully,I was scared to snap the board in half !
