Here's links to the most recent show:

http://www.dnbradio.com/play/Valis_LIVE ... e_16th.mp3
(streaming)

http://www.dnbradio.com/dl/livesets/Val ... e_16th.mp3
(download, might want to right click & save if mp3 is handled automatically).

Dowtempo, a bit of psi & dub then dubstep. Preparing the stuff I don't know as well as my Dnb for a REALLY long desert set this weekend! Back to D'nB on the 29th...

The overheads on the dnbradio site are massive eh? $400 a month in running costs ... OMG

And that's just in server bills etc without people getting paid to run it. All I can say is wow.

Nice for a Friday afternoon rinser!

Quite a different blend from the other mixes I've heard thus far though.

This week's (June 30th) archive links:

Streaming: Valis - June 30th on Dnbradio
Download: Valis - June 30th on Dnbradio (part 1) - Valis - June 30th on Dnbradio (part 2)
There was a small dropout during the beginning of the mix. The streaming link contains both portions of the mix but the downloadable mix is split.

If anyone happens to glance at this in the next hour or so, I'm doing an unschedule renegade set just for the heck of it.

Eagerly awaiting the download, as our monitors are on the DAW, so we need to write it to CD before listening  Really must get the DSP factory on this net machine up & running

BTW, your June 30th set was excellent. Quite an an unusual sound, lots of eastern influenced tracks & not quite the expected drum & bass styles throughout.

On a side note, we've been listening to a couple of excellent Radio1 essential mixes here that are just class If you've not already heard them. One by Coldcut which is A+++ & one by ShyFX & T-Power which is A++. I can upload them for download for a short time if anyone wants them. They're shouldn't be a legal issue.

Thanks for the feedback on the set. The first half started with some dub (have an aging but decent collection), a quick shulman tune for the transition and then quite a bit of dubstep, which seems to be a fad lately but I enjoy it anyway. Then the dnb of course.

I've heard the Coldcut & it's excellent, have to confess I don't think I have a copy atm. I still love the JDJ mix that coldcut did in 95. Curious if the other one is 'Waveforms' era T-power or their more modern dancehall sounding stuff. It's too bad that john peel is no longer with us, he brought so much great music into the public eye.

Thanks for the support everyone.

Yo Valis, I've started a thread with these 2 essential mixes available for download. The ShyFX set (not with T-power, my mistake) is still uploading, but I'll get a link in as soon as it's done. I must've been thinking about ShyFX & T-Power's new colaboration album 'Diary Of A Digital Soundboy'. Have you heard it?

The thread with the downloads is here

Yeap, I have that on vinyl as well as a bunch of their 12"s (they started doing stuff together in 2001 iirc). Cheers for the downloads.

Shroomz, how can you download a full set as it is still being streamed and played live?
[edit] I used to save the mp3 stream to disk...

lol sorry, I've been SO busy lately. I didn't even get to do a set this week. We did a 2 day stage 10am-10pm at Hempfest downtown this weekend so I've been caught up preparing for that.

This week I'll do my best to get a set done & up for you, although I'm 50/50 on that atm. There's another 4 day desert festival I might be playing at and I need to get work done this week.

Thanks for your support! And at0m cheers for trying to be helpful.
