hi guys.
is it possible to save a preset on 2448 mixer or elseware containing synths, without the need of loading a project from the begginning.
i know that this can happen with effects.
effects can be loaded just by using a preset on the mixer. but i wonder if i can save a preset including synths.
the reason why is because i want to avoid reloading a scope project from the beggining which means that nuendo will lose asio and subsequently all rewired applications if any.
it makes a mess when scope is reloaded.
i just need my scope mixer and asio loaded once and the other staf to be stored as presets like the very convenient effect presets.

How would you expect to insert a synth in a mixer?

Just load the synth and the preset into the routing window.. it's not that hard. You don't need to load a whole new project just to do that.

if from nuendo asio driver settings, you choose "release asio driver in background", you can load a new scope project without loosing the asio communication.

same trick with Cubase (5), however remember you still can't close SFP and restart it without problems

I don't know Nuendo, but in my good ol' Cubase VST 5.1 I can switch audio out, then load a new project in Scope and finally switch audio on. Should be possible in Nuendo, too.

thanks!
release asio in background works fine.
but just to load a scope project, after i uncheck it because when i choose another application nuendo stops when it is checked. i wonder if there is there any other use of releasing asio in background?

about loading synths, i just meant that i want to be able to store presets including synths (as modules, NOT sound presets), instead of storing scope projects. for example: i want to have my scope project loaded with just the mixer and basic staf and have projects ready to load but only modules (synths, samplers, or effects) loading, not modules and mixer again from the beggining.

but i guess if i do not have this option the asio releasing in background check is ok since i can reload scope without loosing asio.
in my case that i use 24 asio2 it is a pain to loose asio connection especially when i have nuendo rewired with more than just one application.
