Hello! :smile:

I am thinking of buying a software amp simulator. I am mostly interested in clean jazzy tones or mild distorted blues tones. No heavy stuff for me!

I have tried the Celmo Free Bluesman and I really liked it! I demoed the Celmo Speaker Simulator and found it nice too!

My questions are:
1) Is GAM basically a Bluesman but with added stuff like compressor, chorus, echo, 2 modes of vibrato etc? Or even when you take these out, it still sounds better than the free Bluesman? I have Vinco, Device ISON, CD100 Chorus/Delay and P100 Plate Reverb, so if it is basically the same as the Bluesman but with some added stuff, then I am happy as I am and there is no need to buy GAM. The Speaker Simulator is another story, and I cannot avoid buying it! :smile:
2) How does GAM compare to the Dynatube amp simulators? Which one do you prefer for clean jazzy/bluesy sounds?
3) What would you recommend me to buy?

Thank you for your time! :smile:

GAM is really nice. it has a great sound. i've done a number of fine sounding recordings with it. it is more sonically flexible than dynatube.

i think dynatube sounds more like my real amp though. distortion is better in the dynatube, and the clean tone is very real.

Thanks for answering gary! :smile:

I demoed GAM and it is very nice indeed! Although I get the best sound by this chain:
guitar->DI->(Scope)->TC G-Major effects->Celmo Speaker Simulator->P100 Reverb
I d like to demo Dynatube and compare, but still no demo! :sad:
Celmo Speaker Simulator makes the sound very realistic to my ears though!..

Yep, Speaker simulator is really hot, just after the GAM :wink:

So my chain is guitar -> preamp -> GAM -> Tape Echo simulator -> Speaker Simulator -> monitoring

I don't own the GAM, only tried the demo version, so I've mostly tried/used the Dynatubes, and they sound great. My most important goal was to get a real Marshall sound (metal stuff), and I think it works nicely, especially after adding the Vinco DT compressor.
