Hi all,

I was just wondering, if you have a Mac that has PCI slots and enough ram to make it possible, couldnt you run Virtual PC in a window behind OS X and then run SFP from there?

Virtual PC is supposed to have complete integration with OS X, its not a perfect solution, but could ti actually work?

Just curious.

it will definetely NOT work - as a virtual machine usually 'fakes' the hardware it shows on screen (bios, slots etc).

To access a 'real' hardware slot would contradict the 'virtualization' principle.
Yet it would be possible theoretically similiar to the virtual ethernet card that's present in the emulation.

I've done exactly what you thought of a couple of years ago (on the Mac) and of course the Pulsar was simply ignored, but I admit that I considered it possible because VPC performs so stunningly real, up to the bios details...
my conclusion above developed from that experience
