I found a couple of interesting VST plug-ins for Cubase SX & Nuendo which some of you may be interested in. The 4:2 LCRS method of surround encoding has it's limitations, but these plug-ins may well prove to be very handy for some people. There's the LCRS encoder & also a Surround bass manager plug-in on This page at KVR & also more surround plug-ins & more detailed info on the programmers' site Kelly Industries - Surround Sound Plug-ins for VST, DirectX, Adobe and Others

Looks like this are plugs you use before encoding?
Celmo has some usefull tools; 5+1 Ultimatizer Station & 5+1 SubBass X Tractor.
Guess they are intended to do the same thing.

Yeh, the blurb says they're to be used at the mastering stage, but I've not tried them yet.
I'll need to check those Celmo ones out, as I'm sure they'll fit the bill.
