I have found that STS have some problems with stereo samples. Seems the only solution is convert each stereo to two mono ones and correct panning it.
Making programs on STS are really anoying. There is a tool from King Blue on this forum that allows to add lot of samples from a folder at once. The only problem is that it creates one new keygroup for each channel and cannot use the 4 samples of each keygroup.
Is there any tool to easy compile sampler programs on other format, like Akai, Giga etc, to can convert then to STS using CDxtract?

STS & Akai format are very similar. As long as you have the Adaptec ASPI layer installed, STS should be able to recognise Akai 'Programs' using the Scope 'file browser'. You could compile your sample programs in something like Chicken Systems 'Translator' as either STS or Akai format (Akai being more universal) & load the programs into STS.

Thanks, very useful. Anyone of you know if is anyway to set the keyrange of all keygroups in a program to the same values without have to change them all? . I have more than 100 in some programs. I have used the ADD tool from Blue King, and it adds a new keygroup for each sample..

check the "edit all" button under the keygroup list window.

is it not more easy to add samples directly into an empty keygroup instead of using the blue king tool ?

As you know I´m new on STS. Since I know, I can only add 4 samples (4 zones).
i want to build a drum kit. For snare, for example, I want to use several samples for different velocities. Even more, want to have, direct and ambient samples. I have 43 velocity on snare x3= 129 samples. Seems no good adding manually, the same for bass drum, toms, etc.

Seems sample robot don´t admit 24 bit samples, and Samplit don´t allow import samples. Any other idea?

inside the king blue utilities there should be one called stsadd, that is useful for automatic drum keyranging.

The ADD one is the one I have told I´m using. It works ok.
I was just looking for a tool with many other posibilities, even working on Giga or Akai format, to then convert to STS, since in STS there seems not be a great tool for this.
I´m looking in other forums aswell.
Constructor seems interesting tool.But can no see Demo avaible, and seems a quite expensive.

I am converting EMU, Akai, AIFF, to WAV's, then to STS. Will try recording Scope dev.s to STS, then port them to Giga. I am not there yet, but Chicken Sys works great w/ Giga, EMU,AIFF,WAV., and Roland so far.

Till now I have found that combining Gigastudio Editor and ADD tool, can do some work.
With Gigastudio Editor can make a template for diferent key velocities. Just create an instrument, a region and number of split velocities.
Must load a sample to can save the gig.
Then convert to STS, and you´ll have one keygroup for each velocity split, with velocities well suited, 1-5, 6-10 etc.
Now, just use ADD to add a list of samples. If they are alphabetically well named, you´ll have the work done. Hope this helps, and hope anyone can give any other tricks.
