I'm looking for a switch to use in the SFP router for toggling between two audio sources going into the same input.

Thanks,
Chisel

Switch-It

I just used the search function and there are some post-SDK devices too, by Shane White & Symbiote .

I did a search before posting here and found Switchit and a few others. I'm looking for something that is even simpler (2in->1out). I need a lot of them and Switchit and the others are kind of overkill for my application. I also saw the one by John Bowen, but that is for use in Modular.

Hmm, if I can have more than two audio inputs and more than four audio outputs in Modular III, then I can create my own switching module using the 2x1 switches.

Just thinking that myself - try the 8-8 I/O shell.

Thanks. I created an 8x8 module that contains four 2x1 switches. I wired everything up and then added five of these to my project. I then routed all of my audio sources to one set of module inputs and the sequencer sources to the other set. The other side of the modules are all routed into the STM. So basically, I can now use the STM with all my outboard gear and h/w sequencer without having to launch my DAW! The funny is that the switches didn't behave as I thought they would and I don't even need to switch them at all when I do launch my DAW. They basically act as a two to one merge, rather than a switch. There probably is a easier way to do this, but this works!

Peace /
