the fft and spectrum have been around since TripleDat days - Wolf has a more recent version of the latter in his <a href=

All the Scope Analyzers I had a chance to see were unaccurate nd way too DSP consuming.
I usually bybass this problem by using the most-very-excellent CPU-based realtime analyzers of Wavelab.
Amazing performance with incredible detail, hardly taking any cpu, and a must on every synthesis, mixing or mastering session!
