Now we're getting on to dual core what are the best setups for Pulsar,with regards to Mobos Hard disks Ram etc.
I've heard PATA are recommended over SATA now.
Why's that?

best config is smth around
Supermicro H8DC8
2x Opteron Dualcore
16 Gb RAM
Raid 5 of WD Raptor 150 (SATA, 10000 Rpm, 16Mb buffer)
and, of course, 3xScope Professional :grin:

Are the Samsung really that quiet?(benchmark tests look promising) I'm asking because I need to buy another HD.

Is the "Premium" feature something worth for the performance? I saw that the non Premium mobo has two of the three pci slots spaced, it seems better against heat issues if you have 2 scope pro and a Pulsar....some air between the large cards seems desirable.

..just nice onboard-features an a better irq routing table...

Samsung HDs are really very quiet, I think. My good fans are louder than it, and big saving actions are barely audible.

What about ASUS P5WD2-E PREMIUM (i975X chipset).
Want to buy it but need positive references first...

I put Pulsar-II into an Asus P5P800 about two months ago and it's absolutely flawless with no tweaking at all. Not a hint of a single problem.
