Dear CWA,
I started buying your stuff last summer. I now have a great 30 DSP box for the studio, or live back up if need be, and I'm purchasing my 3rd card for my live rig this Friday at Pro Music X in SoCal.
I'm very happy with my investment so far. But I noticed you guys weren't pushing your cards at the NAMM show last month. This makes me a little nervous about my investment. Is there a way to use these cards in future Mobo designs? I don't want to be the last guy standing when the music stops.

Addictingly,

well, there WILL be pci slots for a while. you can STILL get new motherboards with isa slots! that said, if cwa continues, there WILL have to be a new product, and i have been assured by cwa that there WILL be an upgrade path. remember, that the devices are already developed, it's just a matter of where the dsps are located. certainly, scope is at the point known as "mature" in tech lingo. "mature" IS better than "dead", however.

i still maintain that scope will be useful in it's present form for many years, and even if it can no longer be used in a new computer, it'll still be worth using, just like an oberheim expander is still worth using.....

Look at the bright side Jimmy: if u have, lets say, $900, you can probarly buy pcs and spares to have your SCOPE rig run for a lifetime. thats cheaper than for, in example, your xpander , right?

I feel better now. I'm buying more intel boards, and more DSP cards.

P.S. I've already got Curtis chips for the Matrix 12, and XPander. I fear change. Funny I just sent my first email last summer, now look at me. I'm sick like you guys with DSPs.
