When using SP/DIF IN, I have to set Scope as Slave to avoid clicking.
(cycling clicks it appears, maybe 20 s between them.)

When switching Pre off, I can make Scope Master again.
Is this normal?

I have a Aphex 207D PreAmp connected (OUT) to Pulsar sp/dif (IN).

Yes, or to say better, if you switch the Aphex off you have to make Scope master again to have a digital clock active. Normally the digital source must provide the digital clock.

Hi,

Don't know about your hardware, but if you have synchplate and a wordclock entry on the preamp, you can solve your problem by connecting the wordclock and slaving the preamp to scope (scope being always then the sync master ).

It's ok to know "what to do and why"
