Hi all,

I'm wondering what poeples' feelings are on the subject of secure/non-secure 'My Page' logons at cwaudio.de. ?

I'm not having a go at Creamware, but not having a secure logon to our personal Creamware accounts seems a little odd to me. What do you think ?

In honesty, i'm not positive if it makes much difference as i don't have a credit card on file (i think), so I thought i'd ask for some opinions here.

The obvious security issue is the fact that anyone who got access to my account would get my home address & also know from my Creamware account that i have thousands of pounds worth of CW audio gear, but maybe it's a little paranoid to think this way

Who's gonna come round & rob you of your prize audio gear, right ?

Yes, especially since that information is for all to read on planetz now, it would be a stupid h4x0r

Thanks Atom, but your point doesn't tackle the issue of none of us having a secure logon to our personal Creamware pages & whether or not it's a potential problem. As for what i've made public here, well i don't really see your point. We all have Creamware gear here & many of you have bigger more expensive boards than we do. So what was your point really ? That you're personally clever enough to hack anyone's 'My Page' ? If so, well done, good for you & thanks

imho there is no safety concern with CWA's website.
The registration information is useless without the actual hardware, and if some of your gear gets stolen you have enough time to inform Creamware about the case.
In fact such an attempt could even be helpful to track down the items

As far as online purchase goes I had the impression that credit card data was actually processed by a different (secure) system of a payment service company.

cheers, tom

No you don't. You know nothing about me really & all the CW gear we have is NOT  registered under my name or i wouldn't be announcing it, which you've rightly stated is a bit dumb. I'm a poor man

Simple as that & if i had a picture of my arse doing a cheeky chestnut of a moonshine, i'd stick it up here with a raz smilie

It is not hard to get the adress of a well equiped studio ... many of them even have officail adds to attract custommers. I would guess there are much easyer ways to get such information, than by hacking your CWA account.
