I'm not sure where to post this, so here I go in the general area

I'm trying to organize my Scope-installation, and this also includes all the preset files, but it seems that Scope is only able to look in one single directory for presets. This will quickly become a mess, so are there any tricks to organize your presets in a smart way so that Scope finds all the presest by it self, if placed correctly?

Cheers!

Indeed, there can be quite some files in that folder... In my setup, all devices 'stock' preset files are in one folder, and presets for patches in a subfolder thereof or in the projects folder.

SFP, when you load a stock device into the project, only looks in its preset folder from cset.ini.
Since you mannually save the preset file of a modular patch, you can put it wherever you choose. It will be saved with the device. When it belongs with a project, I usually save it in the project's folder.

alternatively to the default presets folder, you can add in the search options, more locations specifically for presets.
