Hello
I reinstalled my win XP and I can't get Noah working.
I'm going along the official installation guidelines : I turn on Noah, Win detects the new material.
Now I can do what I want - win does not find the driver.
I tried on original CD and copy on hard disk.
The noah allways works on another partition.

Can anyone try to help me ?

Oups - sorry - I think I forgot Service Pack !

Yes BUT even with service pack I have the problem !
I tried with service pack 1 & 2

I got the install to work but only with the noah update cd (1.1) - I don't know if one must first install the first version - but I can't ...

Ok - the problem is that I'm working with a new preset (that was not in my backup of the IF folder)
but it was on the noah so I stored it again
but all the time I start my system , then start the noah software : but only the first slots are charged - the other 2 stay in LOADING status
When I close noah software - its crashing.
Only way to workaround is : I'm going on another multi preset on the noah - all works right now. When I charge my new preset now - there is no probleme anymore.
and no other bug observed.

I want to mention that on an other system working since my beginnings with Noah, I don't have this problem.

seriously, you dont even need any install cd. I first installed my NOAH with the 1.1 installer from the CW website. My system is WinXP SP2 and everything went fine. But I admit that I don't had a preset/backup/whatever, so maybe that part is causing a problem? Can you describe that part again?...

ok for the cd - thanks man - I was not so sure about it.

Before : created noah backup (the IF folder)
23/8 I created a new multi setup called "flm" for my new project
24/8 system crash
25/8 reinstall winxp and finally noah, restoring the IF folder to get back my old presets
the active preset on the noah is "flm"
so when I start noah software, it should load the preset. It only loads the 2 first slots and blocks than.
working around the problem (starting with another preset loaded on the noah) I save again the flm preset - but this does not change anything - the problem persists !

I will try to delete the preset and ceate it again - hope it will work

Gustav, are you saving your Multis and presets as per the manual ? Is everything in place ? Are you just saving to the Noah or to CF ?

in normal times my presets are synchronized between PC and noah, so I made my backup with the PC as a copy of the IF folder
perhaps this is not the official way
but it worked fine when I reinstalled my presets.
the preset who's not working right is the one I did not save before.

Its true I did not really read the backup prodecure - and I will do it this way in the futur - so thank you for the reminder

But I'm not sure that the problem comes from the backup ...

Read through Noah manual pages 20 to 28. It's all there. If you follow the basic procedures outlined on those pages, you really shouldn't have a problem.
