Ive looked around and couldnt find the exact answer that i need. i have multiple progs thati run which forces me to use the pulsar wave drivers (asio on one app only)which act finicky as of late. skips, blips, and the like when i try to record simply 1 stereo track into any prog. i use XP and have done all of the recomended tweeks. hyperthreading is off etc. its a 3.2ghz P4 so it has power. the wave drivers worked a million times better back on my 6.5mhz P3. what gives? i believe it is the 16 bit wave drivers because i've double checked er'ything else. any ideas? here's the sys: 3.2 ghz P4, 256 Radon graph card, pulsar I, Luna II, Scope 4, 3 hard drives at 7500, Windows XP home w/ SP2, i use cubase sx, acid4, soundforge, gigastudio2.5, and BFD. it's pretty much driving me insane. thanks in advance!

i often use the 24bit wav drivers with the asio drivers with no problems. giga might be a bit much with all that other stuff going...you may need another computer just for gigastudio...

Have you got the issue with SP2 sorted? Can't recall exactly coz I deleted it ..... something to do with multimedia drivers being affected by a security update. Sorry in advance if I'm telling you the obvious.

I'd have similar probs if I used the wave drivers. Sometimes I have to juggle Asio for recording and Wave/Direct X for playback, trying to find a solution that works for my system. Then I WRITE it down, coz I'll forget. Seems to depend on how many apps I'm trying to run.

actually i dont run all progs simultaneously. even if i just use BFD which must use ASIO and 1 recording program, i still get the skips etc. BTW, i forgot to mention that i have 1.5 gig RAM...
didnt hear about the SP2 tweeks, i'll check that out.
