the demo contains HighDrix filter, which is quite close to a "curly haired style wah" sound.
<font color="white">INSTRUCTIONS</font> :
1. when you load the demo in SFP, it will look for "HighDrix" filter. The HighDrix demo is not the same name and must be loaded manually (demo limitation) : just right click on the wah filter slot and load highdrix demo from the BlackBox/Sat filter folder. or rename it to HighDrix.dev to have it loaded when you load wax.
2. The Min & Max controls adjust the minimum and maximum frequency. It is also very useful to adapt the plugin to your own controller pedal (for ex, a wah wah has a much smaller range of movement than an expression pedal).
3 The resistance parameter is generally put to "none" or to 1/4 approximately. Large values (more than 50%) are good to use with buttons o create slow and wide modulations.

You can use HighDRix in synths and other filters such as BB Midi Filter, but remember that it was primarily made for guitars. It will work fine though, as it is a normal satellite filter.

This version of Wax includes 6 routings (all positions of amp/wah/post effects).

Wax is available as a "basic highdrix pack" with one filter (classic wah) or with 10 filters (full filter pack). these are the best satellites for guitar.

There is an offer for guitarist to get the full filter pack+slapback+dragon3 at a better price. Look for the Mono Fx pack, which includes Dragon 3, which is a dragon 2 that also works for clean guitar sounds or distorded voices.

HighDrix filter will be available in the user area soon.

Rules :
If someone manages to make a few second music demo of wax with what is available in the demo, he will get it for free ( with wax, highdrix filter, and probably one or two good bonus satellites, or more, you never know...).
There should be one winner only. It should be guitar music, unless you come with something really demonstrative with another instrument.
this is valid until Sunday 5 june only !!!

- you can use filters from other demo packs.
- you do not need to make a lot, just a small riff is enough (10/15 seconds....?).
- you can send me a dry track if you wish (if the demo is not enough for you and want to do more)..

PS : quick note : the "Min" and "Max" controls allow to adapt the range of the filter to your own hardware controller : for ex, with a cheap roland expression pedal, it is in general better to let the controls at the middle value (default setting). But it can change with other controllers, or when editing the wah controller in your sequencer app.
Another good setting with the "highdrix filter" is min = 3/4 (75% approx) and max = 1/4.
This can also change when you use other filters.
I also like to put the "resistance" control at minimal positions.

In fact, there is no rules, all depends on how you play and what is the feeling you want to get.

By default, the pedal animation control has CC number 11 assigned, so you do not have to assign it each time you load Wax. But like any other Scope device, you can change the CC number just like you would do with other devs (right click on the pedal anim, and move your hardware controller).

PS 2 : the demo is on midi channel = omni only, but it is fine in most situation. You can change the midi channel in the registered version.
The registered version also has 6 routings (all possible positions of amp/wah/effects). I think the demo only presents 3 routings.

Wax sounds good on guitars, but It works also on synths to make them less static. for exemple, it worked very well for me on a B2003 (hammond organ emulation), just to get a more lively sound (on reggae rythmic riffs for example).

Wax is mono like a real wah pedal : for stereo sounds, the BB MidiFilter is advised (it allows to use a different filter for L and R channels). BB midi filter is in the Effect pack or, Blackbox, An-osc and Echo packs.
