what's strange about it? Actually it's rather common with VST stuff these days to have group buys. Seems like a great way to get the product for a reduced price. Nothing wrong with that.

GPO is going to be followed by GPO Advanced Upgrade....which will include Project Sam Brass sampling....lifetime upgrades. This excellent offer is wisely expanding the user base before that release.

I've been using GPO for quite a while too. It definitely goes under "great buy" in my book. It take a little while to actually learn the proper arranging techniques, (which has nothing to do with the library itself) but once you get around that, then you can make the orchestra "sing" properly. Alot of the times, a strings passage may sound bad not because of the samples, but because it's poorly arranged.

GPO's very playable too. Alot of the libraries out there are more like programming tools. In contrast, with GPO you can pretty much control everything in realtime (with a mod whee and pedal) and get decent results.

My only gripe is that the overall sound is rather classical and sweet.. and a little dark/muffled. If you're into battle themes and Wagner style screaming horns, you're better off with VSL or one of the East West libraries.

there will be a bit more bombast to GPO in the GPO Advanced edition which will have Project Sam Brass Samples in it.....and it appears some convolution fx which may give the set more of that hollywood sound.
