i am wondering with which cards it is possible to have both, XTC mode as well as the "normal" SFP software desktop.

is it available with all cards or just with those having outputs? i.e.: could i also use one of these booster cards for XTC together with my pulsar which itself provides me my beloved bigmixer?

You can use different cards together, combining DSP, IO and plugin registrations, but it's not possible to put them in different modes, ie. you cannot run XTC and SFP mode simultaneously.

so it's seemingly a better choice to keep my pulsar card as it is and to add an uad-1 or a tc powercore card to gain more fx-power and -quality to my cubase system, right?
