Actually, it wants me to call every song "The Program is Not Responding".
I used 6/4 and 7/4. Some instruments were played through a WX5 breath controller. Drums were done in Reason. As usual a lot of my effects are made with SIR convolution reverb. Halfway through the creation I switched over to my laptop. The big bell was a Nord G2 layered with SIR. Some other synths came from Reason. I like the random feature in Reason's Matrix sequencer.
I found an interesting photo of a guy making an impulse wave. He probably only made one of these:

hah. brilliant. obviusly sound is his one and only priority.
yep, spose thats another reason why so many of us have the pet name of poobase for that thing. but we love it really, well i'd rather use logic but 1. i don't have a mac and 2 the version i do have just stops working every time i flip to the scope windows..
LIKE THE TRACK. has a smooth sound to it.
seems slightly mad (this is a complement) i'm mad by the way.
so you saying most of this stuff is played by you no sampled riffs and such
reckon a person has to be a bit derranged to be fascinated by knob twiddling and listening to the same sound a hundred times.yes at 3k with a q of 6 must decrease by 3 db... lol
aah.. music and technology, wonderfull.
Cheers.
oh reason 3 is here. it's good (was expecting more), nicer to work with, a few improvments to the arrange window as well.the combinator is awsome. wish they made a few more devices though. or at least allow vst. right i'm ranting. so c ya.
nice one

Thanks, no sampled musical phrases were lifted except the very warped chanting from the "Heart of Africa" sample collection. I do tend to go off the deep end with effects.
I looked into Reason 3 and Cubase SX 3 and the price didn't jive with the amount of improvement for me. This is my protest. I may stick with what I have for the next 5 years.

I like it! Good work!

And about the violin in the first part, where it come from?

I did expect a rougher sounding tune with this title, at least i use UPPER CARACTERS and 250 bpm when this #¤& happens.
Nice "friendly" piece.

Lima, The violin is the Garritan Personal Orchestra played with a Yamaha WX5 breath controller. The GPO uses the mod wheel to control the volume and timbre in a similar way that a bow or your breath would on a acoustic instrument. I set Cubase to convert the breath controller data to mod wheel CC.

I dig it.
Really nice stuff, i think you could have put a little more violin in there - but that's just my taste.

Nice and different. Well produced too! One minor thing though, I didn't like the sound of the bell, it seemed out of place compared to everything else?... I was really impressed by the string-work though... amazing!
Cheers!

Thanks, I was actually having second thoughts about the bell. That's why I post here. Everyone liked the string, the part that took the least amount of work!
