I can't seem to find any info in manual on how to set this up. I have my master keyboard going in and have a cable from midi through going to another external module. I've tried connecting the source direct to the dest module, I've tried going controlling an internal synth (this works) and then using the midi out on the synth to go to the hardware out.

thru is like a y cable. it is exactly what is connected to the in. there is nothing to set up.
