When I route audio from my Noah via ADAT into my sound card I get a clicking sound. It's a constant 'tick tick' , sort of like a closed hihat at about 135 bpm, that rises in volume with the sound level of whatever instrument I'm playing and then disappears when no audio is being output.

It doesn't matter which instrument is selected, it's always there. The analogue outputs, however, aren't affected. There's no sign of clipping of the signal in either the Noah mixer output meter or the soundcard's input meter and, ticking aside, the signal doesn't sound distorted.

I'm running it into a Korg Oasys card using Cubase Vst as a sequencer.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

I suspect sync settings: In such a chain one should be master, the other slave. Can you slave Noah to incoming ADAT clock, or slave the Korg to Noah? Either would be good I think...

Set your Sound Card as wordclock sync slave.

If your system has a bnc output connection for wordclock and you send this wordclock to the bnc input of Noah, it will be in digital sync with your system as well without need for setting your system as slave.

Thanks both of you for the suggestions. I'll go and give it a try right now.

Yeah, that's sorted it. I should've read the manual!

Thanks a lot.
