Modular III + FleXor. It sounds so much better, and you can integrate some very useful tools made with it in your dsp environment, beside the stunning sonic quality.

Im using both MIII+Flexor and NordModular ( not G2 )

NordModular - better psy mod patch

MIII+Flexor - more modules more combinations more sounds ( Flexor II psy mod modules ? )

I own both a G2 and ModIII/Flexor. To my ears ModIII/Flexor sound much better than the G2. This is not to say the G2 doesn't sound good, it's just that the CWA/Adern stuff sounds so damned great! Now, when it comes to editors, I prefer the G2. It's not as pretty as ModIII, but it's easier for me to work with.

As far as flexibility, I think ModIII/Flexor also wins. With the release of Flexor 2, it will be no contest. I'm sure that a good programmer could probably use the G2 and create the same sounds that Flexor 2 will offer, but for someone like me who doesn't have the greatest programming chops it would be difficult.

And now to complicate matters further I'll finish by saying that I LOVE the G2 as a controller. I really dig the pitch bend stick and the stone-like mod wheel. And the keyboard feels great! Nice aftertouch too. Plus you get real knobs to turn, something you don't get out of the box with ModIII/Flexor.

I own the G2 engine and Mod III plus Flexor. To me they sound very different. If I had to pick one over the other it would be the Mod III and Flexor but I won't be getting rid of the Nord because it has a great sound.

The G2 is more meat and potatoes analog synthesizer sounds while the flexor makes more exotic sounds.

If you are really into goa and psychedelic trance, you may prefer the nord.

i prefer the creamware modular, but i dont think it sounds better than the G2.
They sound different. The nord mod has a rounder, more naturalistic, flowing sound while the scope modular is more lofi-ish, grungy and grittier to my ears.
Both have a lot of advantages and are both great products. From me Scope wins because for the price of a Nord Modular you get a Scope Pro card fully loaded with software and also the scope sdk thingie.
But aye, the G2 is a beauty...

I'm just playing with the Nord Modular demo at the moment and thinking about getting this. I wish someone would make a Scope Modular patch like the GlassCathedral - it's beautiful. The physical modelling patches are not as good as the sounds I can get from Tassman 4 though.

Tassman4 is most kickass for some things
also: the psoft modular looks very tasty indeed...

I have always felt that every synth is unique. I get fantastic sounds from both the Nord G2 and the CW Modular + Flexor. Sometimes even sucky synths give you one patch that makes a song but neither of these are sucky at all.

Flexor is an addon to Modular II/III. It's a collection of additional modules. More info at http://www.adern.com

A must have, in my opinion.

The Adern standalone devices are not released yet, but from what I've heard they do things unattainable in Modular.

Well, if that's the case I'd definitely be interested in grainmiller as well as flexor2.
