Did you know it has a Sharc chip in? I wonder if this means it would integrate better with a Scope system? - and would the DSP be added together?
Analog Devices have a specialized audio lib available for anyone interested in their developement tools.
Buy a prototyping kit, Visual DSP and off you go - it's just a low 5-figure investment.
btw imho that stuff has become affordable mostly because the telecom industry uses tons of those chips - the pro audio market is a niche at best.
