Ever hear there presets?

Do a search for them and listen to the mp3s of their patch listings for some hardware/software synths they have, simply amazing stuff, if CW could get these guys on board, that could really be a draw for them ide imagine, as fas as techno goes, these guys are tops in the preset creation world.

Maybe CW could throw these guys something to lure them in

well, if that link is correct, I'd hardly call it "techno". Sounds like commercial trance to me.

Thats kind of my point.

Very common synth sounds which are what tons of people that are getting itno music these days are seeking, CWs patch system is perfect being that they can have all the banks available right there. I truelly belive that in a system like the CW stuff, havingthe widest possible array of sound demos available to the public is what will help them sell the system. Currently there are so little in the arena of demos avalable, it kind of makes it hard for potential customers to get a real idea what they are getting in the plug/synth aspect of scope.

You could always have your traditional classic banks and CW banks and then have a bank of trance/techno/house stuff in that nature. Its things like this that help bring new people who are looking for a system into the frey, these guys did the stock bank for the Vanguard, which is a widely used synth and known to be a trance machine for the most part.

I could see no reason why it would hurt CW to try and give new potential users a wider array of sounds from guys that program patches of this nature. In my opinion, they may be trance patches but for trance music, these guys are very good at what they do.

CWA could give toppers like Tiesto a Scope Pro system for free, would be good for bussuness if it gets known

They should extend themselfs a bit towards the known people in the industry, not just electronic based artists but all ganre's, that how outfits like NI and Spectrasics do things, then after they send a freebie, they can add that artists name to the list of users of their applications, sure its kind of a cheep way of going about things, but that sort of publicity sells units ide imagine

I'm definately up for it. But why not make it a contest of it? Make CW involed and ask if they could put up a cool prize of some kind? Maybe a card or just a plug...

Well, I don't know about Tiesto, but that other big dutch producer Junkie XL does use a Scope system. Perhaps they could try and get him for an interview or something...

as for the presets, well of course the current demo situation is ridiculous. The total lack of downloadable demo's and the poor quality and low quantity of even mp3 audio demo's can't do anything but hurt sales. I can't really think of any other audio hard- or software manufacturer who asks it's custumors this kind of blind faith in it's product to buy them without trying/hearing.
So I geuss it is important to have good quality presets in different styles for your devices and also to make some decent mp3 demo's to put on the site.
We even tried to help CWA with the demo contest, and what did they do with the demo's? NOTHING! The whole website now contains not a single snippet of audio!

Didn't know that JXL had a Scope. I do know he was the first ever to get permission for a remix of Elvis (A Little Less Conversation).

So, the first (and only?) remix of Elvis ever was done on Scope?

Oh, and the contest songs are still online - had to run a search on CW's website to find them tho :/

I think the guys name is Manuel Schleiss
and he has done sounbanks for Virus, Jp8000
etc... and has just started to move into software i.e. Vanguard and even cubase sx synth A1.

I think that he has not been impressed much by soft synths (so far), but then again he's probably never tried CW synths.

Even if you're not into euro trance/techno many of his patches would still be usable in many other genres perhaps it's only our imagimnations that are stifling the possibilities?

If he were to design some CW soundbanks it would definitely introduce a lot more customers to CW and that can only mean good things.

If you check the NI site you'll notice much more news and artist recommendations than CW.
IMHO if CW were to put a prominent link to Planet Z on the top of their homepage, our discussions, music and recommendations alone would make a huge difference to their sales and our future.

Who wants to start a petition for CW to sponsor this forum from their homepage???

Well, I don't think the Elvis remix was neccesarily done on Scope. JXL has quite a huge studio and the scope is only one of the tools in there.

well, we've all been down this road before many times. There have been many good suggestions from this forum on how CWA could at least improve their online presence. Some of these suggestions were used in the new site, and there was some good contact between PlanetZ and their webmaster for a brief period, but after that everything became quiet again.

Fact is that CWA is not quite as big and hip as NI and probably don't have the same kind of marketing money to spend.
I'm not sure if it's the money or just CWA's complete lack of marketing skills though. Maybe it's both.
