Hello friends:
Effects Extension (Art.No. MOP-40E1)
>>Chorus and Flanger from the Master series, MIDI controllable filter and tremolo, tube emulation effects, wild-sounding single-sideband processors, and more.<<<
I can't find any mention / review of this set anywhere, and Support said they don't know anything either, but it has a Vocoder. It seems all there is is the brief text above, and a tiny image! I already have Vocalizer, Vinco, Celmo Retro Delay, Celmo X Channel, and a bunch of freebie effects (dub echo etc).
My Vinco occasionally distorts and I'd like a lower dsp 'nice' compressor (Tube Sat?).
Any comments on the effects welcome.
Also, is Masterverb Pro worth the rather huge upgrade price of 198 Eu?
Thanks all,
Geoff

If you mean the Effects Pack II with the SSB effects, I'd say the SSB stuff is worth the price of the pack. Can't help you with Masterverb Pro tho, I'm still happy with the normal one, and for that price, you might want to look at the Sonic Timeworks ones first.

Perhaps it was called Effects Pack II, in the shop now it is Effects Extension.
(CW marketing?)
SSB is single sideband? What does that mean? (There is no info from CW incl. Support).
Thanks

Many of the effects are quite useful and worth the price. TDrive isn't a compressor -- it's an overdrive amp. Not many controls on it, but it's nice sounding, and I've used it a lot.
I don't like any of the MasterVerbs. However, Sonic Timeworks's new P100 is awesome!!! Definitely check it out.

There is also a Sonic Timeworks A-100 and I-100 (paired) which are new, with demos. This pair (reverb and controller) are half the price of the (rather pretty) 4080 reverb.
Any more info on the CW effects in the pack? I am still a bit vague as to what they actually do.

Here's the list of plugins included in the Effects Extension:
DC-Filter
Deesser
Ducker
Ducking Delay
MasterChorus
MasterFlanger
MidiPole Filter
MidiTremolo
PatternDelay
RandomFlanger
SoftClip
SpaceFlanger
SSB ModDelay
SSB Modulator
SSB Phaser
StepFlanger
Stereo Expander
Tube Drive
TQ Drive
Vocoder II
I use most of those a fair bit. For 98 Euros I'd say it's pretty good value, if you need that type of processing.

No I don't think so, it is an extra pack. I don't have the Mix n Master pack, but it does not include this set.

Mixer pack is not Effects Extension (Art.No. MOP-40E1), however people seem to be getting it in Mix n Master!
As far as I understand it, there is a set of standard effects we all get; then an extension that is 98 Eu.
Everyone seems to like Tube Sat etc, so perhaps they are a good buy... which was my original query (as CW don't seem to have any info at all).
I have bought Timeworks A and I-100 reverbs, which sound great.

i got it when it was called "pro pack", i think.
i used to use softclip quite a bit, and dcfilter is handy if you're a modder

the effects extension is included with every old card that had the propack and ALL new scope project and professional cards, hence the assumption that you probably already had this package, my mistake....
yes, to actually answer your question, the
extra fx are good. they don't have fancy guis, but they are useful tools. there really aren't any major standouts, but i find myself using the tqdrive all the time as it sounds good. actually, if you like the other stock fx, you'll like these for sure.

TQDrive and SSB here

Those SSB effects make alot of outboard units fairly useless (not naming any names

)
