ok, i have no probs with large images as i am on ADSL, but maybe you should downsize it a bit? make it jpeg, 1.7mb for an illustrative image might be a tad to much for some, especially when the dev itself is 1mb

well, its smnaller, but it would probarly be even better if you just converted the original .bmp to .jpg

if you have Windows, go to accessories -> Paint, then load the first picture you posted, then "save as" and change fileype to jpg.

this could be done with close to all graphics progs, so if u are on a mac i guess its easy as well.

Must admit tho, 16 colors rox

my (98) paint didn't give me a jpg option

but i made a gif with a prehistoric version of m$ pubcrawlisher

- down to 159k but no funky colours.

A trick to convert BMP to JPG: open it in Internet Explorer, and 'Save As..' Then you can select bpm or jpg :>
